Privacy Policy

Lockfold is a private file vault for iPhone and iPad. This policy describes what information the app handles and where it goes.

We do not collect your data

Lockfold has no account system, server, analytics, crash-reporting service, advertising SDK or third-party tracking SDK. We do not receive your files, photos, videos, documents, contacts, notes, card details or browsing activity. There is no cloud sync or developer backup.

What stays on your device

Vault files and metadata are stored in the app's private Application Support container. Files use iOS Data Protection and are excluded from iCloud and computer backup. Your passcode verifier is stored in the device Keychain. Contacts imported into Lockfold remain in Lockfold and are never written to the system address book.

System services you choose to use

Some features use Apple system services only after you start them:

• Photos and Files provide items you explicitly choose to import. Lockfold asks for Photos access only if you ask it to delete imported originals.
• The Contacts picker supplies contacts you explicitly choose. Contacts access is requested only if you ask Lockfold to delete imported originals.
• The camera and microphone are used for the built-in camera, document scanner, audio recorder, video sound and optional Break-in Alerts.
• Phone, Messages and FaceTime open Apple's apps when you choose to contact someone. Lockfold cannot delete their call or message history.
• Wi-Fi Transfer listens only on your local network while its screen is open. It is turned off when the vault locks or the app goes into the background.

Purchases

Lockfold Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment and subscription status. Lockfold receives the StoreKit result needed to enable the purchase on your device; we do not see your name, Apple Account, payment details or billing address.

Children and changes

Lockfold is not directed to children. If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the change ships.
